The Central New York Veterinary Medical Association (CNYVMA) encompasses; Cayuga, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida,  Onondaga, and Oswego counties.

CNYVMA members must be first be members of the New York State Veterinary Medical Society.

The purpose of this Association is:

• to IMPROVE AND ADVANCE THE SCIENCE AND  PROFESSION OF VETERINARY MEDICINE

• to secure the enactment of just and proper laws concerning veterinary medicine and the veterinary profession

• to guard and foster the professional and material interest of its members and to guard them against imposition

• to foster and maintain high standards of integrity, honor, courtesy and ethics within the profession

• to foster protection of the public health

• to enlighten and inform the public in regard to veterinary MEDICINE, SCIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE WHEREIN IT AFFECTS THE PUBLIC GOOD AND WELFARE
